The Russian Prosecutor General has arrived in Laos for the first time on a working visit

Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov has arrived in Laos on a working visit. It is specified that he arrived in the country for the first time. The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation informed about this on May 27.

In Vientiane, Krasnov will hold talks with his colleague Saisana Khotphuthona. Within the framework of them, it is also planned to sign a cooperation program related to the strengthening and development of further relations between the two states.

It is specified that for the first time the heads of the supervisory authorities met in September last year within the framework of the IX Eastern Economic Forum. Then the Prosecutor General of Laos, at the invitation of Krasnov, came to Vladivostok, where he took part in the events of the Eastern Economic Forum. As a result of the meeting, an interagency cooperation agreement was signed.

Earlier, on May 26, Krasnov and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice of the Kingdom of Cambodia Kyet Rit signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The document obliges States to strive to achieve practical results "in the field of combating crime and protecting human rights and freedoms."
