An employee of the Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN) of Russia was detained in Moscow while copying official documents for sending to third parties via a foreign messenger. This was reported on May 27 in the press service of the department.

"An employee of the digital transformation unit of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia has been detained on suspicion of committing a crime in the field of computer information using his official position," the FSIN said.

It is noted that an employee of the department copied the documents from his work computer and transferred them to third parties through a foreign messenger. A criminal case has been opened based on the inspection materials, and investigative actions are underway.

Now the person involved has been detained, the issue of choosing a preventive measure is being resolved. The FSIN added that an internal audit has been scheduled.

On March 24, employees of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia detained an employee of one of the control and supervisory authorities of the Russian Federation on suspicion of treason. The investigation found that the Russian collaborated confidentially with representatives of Ukraine, assisting them in activities directed against the security of the Russian Federation.
