Krasnov spoke about the dynamics of relations with Cambodia

Russia highly appreciates political contacts and cooperation with Cambodia. This was announced on May 26 by the head of the department, Igor Krasnov, at a meeting with the King of Cambodia, Norodom Sihamoni.

"The head of our state highly appreciates the dynamism of political contacts and cooperation, especially in the fields of defense and security, trade, tourism, and information technology," the Russian Prosecutor General stressed.

In addition, he noted the development of cooperation between the countries in the law enforcement sphere. The head of the department also informed the King of Cambodia about the signed documents that will allow the states to open up new opportunities in cooperation.

Krasnov and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice of the Kingdom of Cambodia Kyet Rit signed a Memorandum of Understanding on May 26. It was clarified that the document obliges countries to strive to achieve practical results "in the field of combating crime and protecting human rights and freedoms."

In addition, during negotiations with the Chairman of the Supreme Court of Cambodia, Chiv Keng, the head of the department spoke about the intentions of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation to develop cooperation with the Supreme Court of Cambodia, including through joint forums and research to share scientific experience, as well as the practice of digitalization of the judicial system.
