The court of the Luhansk People's Republic sentenced to 17 years in a penal colony a Russian citizen who spied on the Russian army and transmitted data to the special services of Ukraine. This was announced on May 27 by the press service of the LPR Prosecutor's office.
"The Supreme Court of the Luhansk People's Republic has handed down a verdict in a criminal case against Stanislav Udoviki, a 21-year-old citizen of the Russian Federation. He was found guilty under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High treason"), — stated in the Telegram channel.
It is specified that the person involved voluntarily collected information about the locations of Russian army units. He then transmitted the data to the Ukrainian special services via messenger.
The ministry added that he was sentenced to 17 years in prison to serve his sentence in a high-security penal colony. In addition, he must pay a fine of 100,000 rubles.
On May 16, the Office of the Federal Security Service (UFSB) of Russia in the LPR suppressed the illegal activities of a man who transmitted information about the location of the Russian army to the Ukrainian special services. A criminal case was opened against him in accordance with Article 276 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Espionage").
