Seven foreign brands have entered the Russian market since the beginning of 2025


Since the beginning of 2025, seven international brands have opened in Russia. Among them were Gaissina (Kazakhstan), De'Longhi (Italy), JINKAILAI (China), Beko (Turkey), Kappa (Italy), Les Benjamins (Turkey) and Mua (Belarus). This was announced by the director of the department for work with retail space at COREA.HR Evgeniya Prilutskaya.
She also drew attention to the fact that the average store size of new foreign operators increased to 298 square meters against 220 square meters. m in the first half of 2024. At the same time, in terms of the number of new names, this year is still inferior to 2024, in which 16 brands came to Russia.
It is noteworthy that 72% of foreign brands have opened in Moscow, 14% in St. Petersburg and 14% in Nizhny Novgorod, which confirms the continued concentration of international retail in metropolitan areas. The dominant segment is Fashion (57%), followed by household appliances and electronics (29%) and furniture (14%), she noted.
On May 27, it became known that in June, the State Duma intends to consider immediately in the second and third readings a bill on the return of foreign brands to Russia — how companies will be able to exercise their rights to repurchase shares.
