Igor Balynin, an associate professor at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, said on Tuesday, May 27, that a number of categories of Russians can receive additional individual pension coefficients (IPCs) to increase their pensions.

He clarified that there is a range of PKI for periods of child care.

"For example, for a year of caring for the first child, 1.8 IPK is charged, 3.6 IPK for a year of caring for the second child, and 5.4 IPK for 3 and 4 children," the expert explained in an interview with aif.ru .

If four children have been cared for for 1.5 years, then a total of 24.3 IPCs can be obtained, the expert noted.

The economist also added that 3.6 CPI is accrued for a year of participation in a special military operation, and 1.8 CPI is accrued for a year of conscription. For a year of caring for a person who has reached the age of 80, a group 1 disabled person or a disabled child is charged the same amount of CPI.

The day before, a group of Federation Council senators led by First Deputy Speaker, Secretary of the General Council of United Russia Vladimir Yakushev submitted to the State Duma a bill guaranteeing an insurance pension for the loss of a breadwinner to children conceived with IVF after the death of their father, RT reports.

If adopted, the document may enter into force on January 1, 2026, the Moscow City News Agency reports.
