Smolov, Gazinsky and Dupin left Krasnodar after the championship

Striker Fedor Smolov, midfielder Yuri Gazinsky and goalkeeper Yuri Dupin left the Krasnodar football club after winning the championship in the Russian Premier League (RPL). The FC press service announced this on May 27 in the Telegram channel.

"Fedor Smolov, Yuri Gazinsky and Yuri Dupin are leaving Krasnodar due to the expiration of their contracts. They finished their career at the club beautifully — by winning the championship title!" — the message says.

As specified by "Gazeta.Ru", Krasnodar finished the championship with 67 points. The team scored a victory in the RPL in the final round of the national championship.

Krasnodar emphasized that Smolov was the best sniper in the club's history, Gazinsky ranks second in the ranking of matches played for Krasnodar, and Dupin became an important part of the championship team.

On May 24, Krasnodar football club beat Dynamo Moscow 3-0 in the match of the 30th round of the Russian Premier League and for the first time in history became the champion of the Russian Federation in football. Krasnodar took the first place, ahead of Zenit, which was the winner of the RPL of the previous six seasons.

Later, FC fans celebrated their team's victory in the Russian championship. Tens of thousands of residents gathered in the streets and squares of the city to celebrate a historic moment for the entire Russian sport.
