The desecration of the Russian flag by Georgian singer Erekle Getsadze does not correspond to the culture of Georgia. This was announced on May 27 by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.

"When you go out in front of several thousand people and do something like that, it doesn't fit the Georgian culture. It's just uncultured," Kobakhidze told Sputnik Georgia.

Kobahidhe also stressed that desecrating any flag of any country is a lack of culture.

Georgian singer Erekle Getsadze desecrated the Russian flag at the Tbilisi Open Air festival. The footage shows the musician throwing a Russian tricolor onto the stage, then picking it up, stuffing it into a bag and pretending to relieve himself.

On the same day, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Russian law enforcement agencies would give an appropriate assessment of the situation with the desecration of the Russian tricolor at a concert held in Georgia.
