Investigators have established the involvement of Ukrainian militants in the death of Alexander Grigoriev, a resident of the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region, and a criminal case is being investigated under Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code ("Rehabilitation of Nazism") and Article 105 of the Criminal Code ("Murder"). This was announced on May 27 by the official representative of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia Svetlana Petrenko.

A day earlier, Grigoriev's daughter Svetlana Petrenko said that her father was killed by the Ukrainian military in March. According to her, this happened just before the liberation of the village of Gogolevka, where the man lived.

As the investigation established in August 2024, members of the armed formations of Ukraine (VFU), who illegally invaded the territory of Russia, mocked Grigoriev, pretending to have a German accent. The video was subsequently posted online.

"This fact has been qualified by the investigation as the rehabilitation of Nazism. After the liberation of the village of Gogolevka, Russian servicemen discovered the body of this man with signs of violent death," the agency reports.

The examination showed that the pensioner died as a result of the use of ammunition used by Ukrainian militants. Svetlana Petrenko, who was recognized as the victim, identified the father by body parts and clothes. She told investigators that she had learned about her father's death from the Russian military, who evacuated his body from the liberated village at the end of April. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation intends to identify and bring to justice the VFU militants involved in the crime.

Footage of the incident with Alexander Grigoriev appeared online on August 15, 2024. They show how a soldier of the Ukrainian troops, wearing a Nazi helmet, mocks an elderly man. He imitated a German accent and insulted a resident of the Kursk region. On the same day, the Nemesis website, owned by the hacker group RaHDIt, reported that Vasyl Danyliuk from the Ivano-Frankivsk region turned out to be an AFU soldier with SS insignia who mocked a lost pensioner on the outskirts of Sudzha. It is known that he is 38 years old, the man is in the "most wanted" category.

At the same time, the pensioner's daughter told Izvestia that she had last seen her father on August 6. The woman reported that she had taken the children to Kursk, and then decided to return for her father. However, it turned out that the pensioner had gone somewhere by that time, he was not in the apartment.
