A painting for 170 thousand rubles was stolen at the Solar Systo festival

Unknown people stole the painting at the Solar Systo festival in the Leningrad region. The cost of the canvas is more than 169 thousand rubles, the 78 TV channel reported on Tuesday, May 27.

The event took place on the shore of the Gulf of Finland, near Cape Kurenniemi. According to reports, the theft occurred in the early morning of May 25 at the home of artist Margarita Pakhomova.

"On the other (side. — Ed.), now she has her own secret story. Maybe she was taken away by an inspired collector? Or did she become part of someone's unexpected gesture?" she wrote in her Telegram.

According to the artist, she spent a whole year of her life painting the canvas, as well as ideas about black holes, dark matter and a piece of the soul.

There were no cameras at the scene. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.

Earlier in May, it was reported that unknown persons stole a bronze statue of the wife of US President Donald Trump, Melania, in Slovenia. The sculpture was created by American conceptual artist Brad Downey.
