The Kola River overflowed its banks in the Kola region of the Murmansk region. Water flooded the area near the beach in the village of Zverosovkhoz, eyewitnesses reported on social networks.
Since May 25, the "High alert" mode has been introduced in the neighboring village of Kildinstroy, Bi-port news agency writes. It acts in order to exclude the occurrence of emergencies related to the level of Cola rise up to 200 cm.
Earlier it was reported that the spring flood in the Murmansk region will begin in the third decade of April–early May. By this time, an increase in the water content of rivers and an influx of water into reservoirs are expected.
