Fraudsters began to use the "single window" more often to deceive Russians. This was reported on May 27 in the Telegram channel of the Bank of Russia.

The regulator explained that an attacker contacts a potential victim on behalf of a law enforcement officer and convinces them that criminals are currently trying to steal money from accounts. After that, the Russian is switched to an alleged specialist of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, who helps transfer funds to a fake "secure" account.

It is noted that in this way the scammers convince the potential victim of the seriousness of what is happening and "create the illusion of formality."

"In fact, if a person follows these instructions, they will transfer money to fraudsters' accounts, as well as disclose their passport data and other personal information to them," the report says.

Earlier that day, the Office for the Organization of the Fight against the Illegal Use of Information and Communication Technologies (UBK of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia) announced a new fraud scheme related to the offer to earn likes through the Telegram messenger. The attackers send voice messages on behalf of marketplace employees, offer to complete tasks for a small fee, and then demand to invest in order to increase income.
