Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will leave for Kiev after the talks in Moscow. This was reported on May 27 by the Reuters news agency, citing a source.
It is specified that the Turkish minister will meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
"Fidan is also expected to visit Kiev at the end of this week to meet with Ukrainian officials and discuss the outcome of the talks in Istanbul," the article says.
A Turkish source said that during Fidan's meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, recent initiatives to end the conflict in Ukraine were discussed, as well as "developments following the talks held in Istanbul."
Putin received Fidan in the Kremlin on the evening of May 26. The meeting was also attended by Lavrov and Turkish Ambassador to Russia Tanju Bilgic.
