Igor Osinkin will leave the post of head coach of Samara football club (FC) Krylia Sovetov. This was announced on May 27 by the club's press service.

"By the decision of the parties, the contract, which ends in May, will not be extended," the FC Telegram channel clarified.

It is specified that Osinkin took over the team in July 2020 and achieved entry into the RPL in the first season. Under his leadership, Krylia Sovetov demonstrated an attacking and combative style of play, noted by experts, and the team became one of the youngest and most distinctive in the league.

"In their first year in the FNL, the players, under the guidance of a mentor, set many records and won the gold medals of the championship ahead of schedule. In addition, for the second time in Russian history, our team managed to reach the final of the Russian Cup," the message added.

In four seasons in the RPL under Osinkin's leadership, the team played 194 matches, won 85 and drew 35 times. Under his leadership, many young players joined the country's top clubs and were called up to the national team.

FC Krylia Sovetov thanked Osinkin for the work done and expressed hope to see him in Samara again.

On May 1, it was reported that Marcel Lichka, the head coach of FC Dynamo Moscow, was leaving his post. The club clarified that Rolan Gusev will be the acting head coach of Dynamo until the end of the 2024/25 season.
