- The Ministry of Industry and Trade has expanded the program of preferential car loans for families with two children
The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade has included a Family Car for families with two children in the relaunched program of preferential car loans. This was reported on May 27 in the press service of the department.
"This measure proved to be in demand, and on behalf of First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, a decision was made to further expand this mechanism. Starting from May 26, families with two children will also be able to use the preferential car loan program," Interfax reports.
It is specified that the decision to restart the program was made in mid-May. At that time, the emphasis in informing about the program was on large families with at least three children.
Under the terms of the current program of preferential loans for certain groups of the population, the basic discount when buying a car is 20%, and for residents of the Far East — 25% of the price of a car with an internal combustion engine. The purchase of an electric car will increase the discount to 30%. In turn, within the framework of the "Family Car" program, a 10% discount on the cost of the vehicle is implied.
Sergey Gromak, Vice President for External Relations and Interaction with AVTOVAZ shareholders, announced on May 22 that a new Lada Iskra model will be available for preferential car loans. On the same day, it was reported that AvtoVAZ and the Ministry of Industry and Trade are discussing a mechanism for directly subsidizing discounts on car purchases. According to Gromak, in this case, the automaker will be able to directly give discounts to customers, bypassing the inflated interest rates of banks on loans.
