Almost 800 buildings were completely destroyed by floods in Australia.

"More than 5,000 damage assessments were conducted, as a result, 794 houses were declared uninhabitable," the publication says.

According to the newspaper, five people died due to the natural disaster. More than 10 thousand residents of Australia were without electricity.

Earlier, on May 24, Reuters reported that more than 10,000 properties were flooded in Australia, and authorities began clearing the affected areas. According to media reports, hundreds of flood-affected locals are still in evacuation centers.
