Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov, at a meeting with Chairman of the Supreme Privy Council of Cambodia, Head of the Senate of the Kingdom, leader of the People's Party Hun Sen, outlined key areas of cooperation in law enforcement, scientific and educational spheres. This was announced on Tuesday, May 27, on the website of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation.

"The main topics relate to plans to develop cooperation with the competent authorities of the kingdom, including in terms of joint work in international formats, organizing events to share best practices in prosecutorial and supervisory activities, in the scientific and educational field," Krasnov said.

In addition, he noted that the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation is ready to help strengthen partnerships between the defense departments.

Krasnov expressed confidence that all agreements reached as a result of the visit will contribute to strengthening the law enforcement potential of the two states, as well as future bilateral cooperation.

The day before, the Russian Prosecutor General's Office reported that Krasnov and the Prosecutor General of the Supreme Court of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Chea Leang, signed a cooperation program for 2025-2026. As the head of the Russian supervisory authority pointed out, ensuring the rule of law, the inevitability of punishment for crimes and the protection of citizens' rights are common goals of the prosecutor's offices of both countries.
