The calculation of the self-propelled gun "Msta-S" hit the command post of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Red Army direction

The calculation of the Msta-S self-propelled guns of the Center group of forces destroyed a camouflaged command post of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Red Army area of the special military operation (SVO) zone. This was announced on May 27 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"The calculation of the 2S19 Msta-S self-propelled howitzer of the Center group of forces destroyed the AFU command post in the Red Army area of the SVO zone. The target was located in a dilapidated building, which was used by the enemy to coordinate the actions of assault units and unmanned aircraft," the ministry said.

The gunners received the coordinates for the strike from reconnaissance units and operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). After that, 152 mm shells were fired from a camouflaged firing position.

"After completing the firing task, the crew quickly camouflaged the combat vehicle and took cover. During the entire operation, the military paid special attention to disguising equipment and controlling airspace to protect against possible enemy retaliatory actions," the Defense Ministry said.

On May 26, the Ministry of Defense showed footage of the destruction of the L119 howitzer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region. It is specified that the object was identified using the Zala reconnaissance drone. The howitzer was disguised in a private house in one of the settlements in the Kharkiv region.
