Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has been diagnosed with labyrinthitis, an inflammation of the inner ear. This was announced on May 26 by the G1 portal.
"This Monday (May 26), President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva had a case of vertigo and was diagnosed with labyrinthitis. According to the medical report of the Sirio Libanes Hospital in Brasilia, Lula underwent an examination and blood tests, which turned out to be normal," the material says.
After that, the head of state went to his official residence, the Alvorada Palace, where he stayed until the evening, canceling official meetings. It is specified that the president was cared for by a medical team led by his attending physician Roberto Calila Filho and Dr. Anna Elena Hermoglio.
On May 3, the RTS television company reported that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic fell ill during a visit to the United States, so it was decided to return back. Later, the media clarified that Vucic was hospitalized after arriving from the United States. Dragan Dincic, a cardiologist at the Military Medical Academy in Belgrade, said that a possible cause of Vucic's indisposition was a sharp increase in blood pressure. According to him, Vucic's blood pressure was 165/98. The Serbian leader was later discharged from the hospital.
