A teenager who climbed onto the roof of an electric train died from an electric shock in St. Petersburg. This was announced on the evening of May 26 by the North-Western Transport Prosecutor's Office in the Telegram channel.

"According to preliminary data, on May 26, 2025, a minor was on the roof of an electric train that was moving from Finlyandsky railway station to Zelenogorsk. At the Lanskaya station, a teenager received a fatal electric shock from the contact network," the press service of the department said.

The circumstances of the incident are currently being established.

Earlier, on May 23, a teenager died from an electric shock in the Moscow region. The victim died at the scene from his injuries. Prior to that, on May 17, two underage train drivers died from electric shock after climbing onto the roof of an electric train at the Kansk-Yeniseisky station of the Krasnoyarsk Railway.
