Germany is not changing course on the issue of restrictions on the range of attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with German weapons on the territory of Russia. This was announced on Monday, May 26, by the co-chairman of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD), Vice-Chancellor of Germany Lars Klingbeil.

"As for the range [of weapons supplied to Ukraine], I want to say that there is no new agreement that would go beyond what the previous government did," n-tv quoted him as saying.

Earlier in the day, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said that Britain, France, Germany and the United States had lifted restrictions on the range of missiles supplied to Ukraine. He noted that now it is necessary to ensure the supply of these weapons to Kiev.

After that, a military expert, retired colonel Viktor Litovkin, told Izvestia that the decision of Western countries to lift range restrictions for missiles supplied to Ukraine speaks of their hypocrisy. According to the military expert, such a measure is aimed at future supplies.
