The construction of a new sports and recreation complex with a universal playing field is planned to be completed in the village of Balagansk in the Irkutsk region by the end of the year. This is reported by the regional government.

As of May 26, the construction readiness of the facility is 65%. The contractor is already completing interior finishing works and is preparing to start work on the adjacent territory.

So, the builders have yet to equip the MSW grounds and make a covering for the football field, lay a blind area around the complex and apply a rubber coating on the playground. Landscaping of the territory will also be carried out, IA IrkutskMedia clarifies.

According to the Minister of Construction of the region Alexey Yemelyukov, the work is carried out on schedule. They are planned to be completed by the end of the year, and the FOC will be opened in 2026.

The construction cost is about 300 million rubles. The funds were allocated within the framework of the state program "Development of physical culture and Sports".
