A criminal case was opened after the robbery of a courier for 127 million rubles in Moscow

Suspects in the attack on a courier in Moscow and embezzlement of funds on an especially large scale were detained by the criminal investigation department of the capital's Interior Ministry headquarters together with operatives of the Central Administrative District Department of Internal Affairs and the Presnensky district Department of Internal Affairs. This was announced on May 26 by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk.

"According to reports, unknown people approached a man who was waiting for a taxi at one of the high-rise buildings on Presnensky Val Street in Moscow. The attackers struck him several times and snatched a suitcase with money from his hands. Then the attackers disappeared," follows from the publication in the Telegram channel.

It is reported that during the arrest, the attackers tried to physically resist the law enforcement officers.

Investigators have opened a criminal case under Article 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. At the moment, the remaining accomplices are being sought and the exact amount of the stolen funds is being determined.

On the same day, criminals were detained who stole a suitcase with 127 million rubles from a man. The victim was a courier and received a briefcase from a client in the Imperial Tower. It was clarified that at least six people attacked him, who took away the money.
