Air defense systems hit 23 Ukrainian drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the regions of the Russian Federation

Air defense systems destroyed 23 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over four regions of Russia. This was announced on May 26 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

"In the period from 17:00 to 20:00 Moscow time, 23 Ukrainian aircraft—type unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed by air defense systems on duty," the Telegram channel says.

The ministry clarified that six Ukrainian drones were destroyed over the territory of the Tula region, seven drones over the Orel region, three UAVs over the Kursk region and seven over the territory of the Bryansk region.

The new weapons are machine guns or submachine guns mounted on special turrets.

Earlier that day, the air defense forces destroyed 21 UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Thus, five Ukrainian drones were hit over the territory of the Moscow region, six over the Tula region, three UAVs over the Kaluga region, one over the Kursk region, and six over the territory of the Orel region.
