Manturov spoke about the importance of import substitution

It is important to support import substitution in Russia, First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov said on May 26 after a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and representatives of the business community.

"Some require, for example, regulatory adjustments, while others require that existing regulations be applied correctly. Therefore, I would say that the rules of its application require additional adjustment. But, in my opinion, everything was reported in a rather constructive and positive way today," Manturov said, answering a question from a correspondent of Izvestia.

He added that the topic of import substitution in Russia is not new, it began to be dealt with "much earlier" in 2014.
