The court recovered from a resident of the Perm Region, who forced her adopted son to eat cigarette butts, monetary compensation in the amount of 150 thousand rubles for torturing children for almost two years. This was announced on May 6 by the press service of the Perm bailiff Department.
It was clarified that the woman used physical violence, insulted children, deprived them of proper nutrition if, in her opinion, they did not perform their duties, for example, they did not clean the yard or at home.
In addition, the woman severely punished the children for misconduct. So, having found cigarette butts in the pocket of an 11-year-old boy, she forced him to eat them with matches and part of a matchbox. The minors escaped and reported the guardian's actions to law enforcement agencies.
"According to experts, the consequences of harsh parenting methods for minors were psychological trauma, stress and nervous exhaustion. The court qualified the actions of the accused under Article 117 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Torture" and Article 156 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Failure to fulfill the duties of raising a minor," follows from the publication on the website.
The woman was sentenced to three years and one month of probation and ordered to pay 50,000 rubles each to the victims. The malefactor did not refund the money within the prescribed period, so the bailiff restricted the woman's travel outside the Russian Federation, and also seized the property.
On April 30, a man was sentenced to 22 years in prison for beating and raping two children of his roommate. It was clarified that the minors reported the crimes in August 2023 to the mother, who contacted law enforcement agencies.
