Air defense forces destroyed 21 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions

Russian air defense systems destroyed 21 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the regions of Russia. This was announced on May 26 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

"In the period from 14:00 to 17:00 Moscow time, 21 Ukrainian aircraft—type unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed by air defense systems on duty," the Telegram channel says.

The ministry clarified that five Ukrainian drones were hit over the territory of the Moscow region, six drones over the Tula region, three UAVs over the Kaluga region, one over the Kursk region, and six over the territory of the Orel region.

The new weapons are machine guns or submachine guns mounted on special turrets.

Earlier in the day, the air defense forces destroyed seven UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the Tula and Kursk regions. It was noted that four drones were destroyed over the territory of the Kursk region and three UAVs over Tula.
