Supplies for the electric power industry discussed at the Caucasian Investment Forum

ROSSETI Group held a Supplier's Day conference within the framework of the Caucasian Investment Forum. The main topic was the strengthening of technological sovereignty in the field of energy, the company said.

The conference, which brought together more than 200 companies, was attended by Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Evgeny Grabchak, Deputy General Director of ROSSETI for Investment and Capital Construction Alexey Molsky, experts from Opora Russia, the largest electronic platforms. The central topic of the discussion was the application of the national procurement regime to strengthen the technological sovereignty of the grid complex.

Evgeny Grabchak noted the need for a single industry order and a clear understanding of the long-term prospects for electricity consumption in order to accurately predict the timing of projects. According to him, holding a "Supplier's Day" will help optimize the operation of the energy system and find ways to reduce the final cost of electricity. The formation of a long-term sustainable order in the fuel and energy sector is one of the key tasks set for the industry by the Energy Strategy of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2050.

Alexey Molsky stressed that Russian suppliers are able to almost fully meet the needs of the ROSSETI Group. He cited the example of large substations equipped with 100% domestic equipment.

"As a key customer in the industry, we are ready to continue to guarantee high volumes of purchases. We expect our partners to meet deadlines and provide innovative solutions. The priorities are also improving product quality, including at the component level, and training service personnel," Molsky emphasized.

The conference participants also discussed other aspects of energy companies' interaction with suppliers of goods and services, the main problems and tasks of import substitution, and the experience of using electronic procurement.
