Large-scale production of Lada Iskra cars will not be postponed to the spring of 2026. This follows from the statement of the press service of AVTOVAZ.

According to the Avtotok Telegram channel, referring to BRT, one of AvtoVAZ's key suppliers, truly large-scale production of Lada Iskra cars at AvtoVAZ will begin in the spring of 2026. It is for these dates that mass deliveries of components are planned, the company noted. AvtoVAZ denied this statement.

"The supplier's speculations do not correspond to reality," Rossiyskaya Gazeta quoted the domestic car company as saying on May 26.

AvtoVAZ launched production of the Lada Iskra model at the Tolyatti plant on April 19. The model will be available in three body styles: sedan, station wagon and Cross-wagon with black unpainted plastic elements on the body. The novelty will occupy a market niche between the Granta and Vesta models.

The start of sales of Lada Iskra is scheduled for July 20 this year. As the head of AVTOVAZ Maxim Sokolov said, the cost of a car starts from 1.2 million rubles.

On May 22, it was reported that the new Lada Iskra model will be available for preferential car loans. This was stated by Sergey Gromak, Vice President for External Relations and Interaction with AVTOVAZ shareholders.
