The air defense forces of the Russian Defense Ministry destroyed four drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) flying to Moscow. This was announced on May 26 by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.

"The air defense forces of the Ministry of Defense repelled an attack by four enemy drones flying to Moscow," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

The new weapons are machine guns or submachine guns mounted on special turrets.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported the destruction of 96 Ukrainian UAVs over 12 Russian regions overnight. It was clarified that the largest number of UAVs were eliminated over the territory of the Bryansk region, air defense systems shot down 31 drones in the region.
