Russian swimmer Valeria Salamatina was suspended for two years for violating anti-doping rules. This was announced on May 26 by the press service of the International Doping Testing Agency (ITA).

"Russian swimmer Valeria Salamatina has agreed to a two—year suspension after testing positive for the banned substance furosemide," the agency said in a statement on its website.

It is specified that the period of ineligibility will expire on May 7, 2027.
