The Embassy announced an investigation into the shooting of a Russian ship off Mozambique.

An investigation is currently underway into the shelling of the Russian research vessel Atlantis off the coast of Mozambique. This was reported to Izvestia on May 26 at the Russian Embassy in Mozambique.

"At the moment, the Mozambican authorities are investigating the incident, while the identity of the victims has not been established," the report says.

It is specified that on board the ship were crew members, Russian specialists from the Atlant NIRO Research Institute, as well as their Mozambican colleagues from the Institute of Oceanography of Mozambique.
