The lawyer warned about fines for parents for children's offenses

Lawyer Svetlana Strezhneva told us what kind of offenses children can be fined by their parents.
In conversation with the agency RuNews24.Ru On Monday, May 26, she reminded that parents are obliged not only to take care of the health, physical, mental, spiritual and moral development of their children, but also are responsible for their upbringing and development. This is regulated by Article 63 of the Family Code of the Russian Federation.
The legislation may provide for administrative liability and (or) civil liability for the harm (damage) caused for the offenses of minors. Administrative responsibility begins at the age of 16. If a child has not reached this age, and is, for example, intoxicated, drinks alcoholic beverages or consumes narcotic or psychotropic substances without a doctor's prescription, his parents may be brought to administrative responsibility under Article 20.22 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation and fined from 1.5 thousand to 2.5 thousand rubles.
Strezhneva also said that the civil liability of parents for the actions of children differs depending on the age of the child. If the child is under 14 years old, the parents are fully responsible for the harm caused to them. If he has caused harm while temporarily under supervision (in an educational, medical or other organization or a specific person on the basis of a contract), then the organization or this person is responsible for the damage caused.
"Minors between the ages of 14 and 18 are independently responsible for the harm caused on general grounds," the lawyer emphasized.
If he does not have an income or property sufficient to compensate for the damage, it is reimbursed by his parents. They, as well as the organization or person, will be able to avoid responsibility only if it is proved that the harm was caused through no fault of their own.
On May 25, IA Regnum, with reference to the traffic police, wrote that a fine in the amount of 5 thousand to 15 thousand rubles is threatened for entering a public road on a pit bike. If parents have allowed a minor child to drive a pit bike, they may be brought to administrative responsibility, and the pit bike will be sent to a parking lot.
On May 18, lawyer Maria Spiridonova warned that teenagers walking after curfew could result in a fine and preventive registration for their families. In case of violation, parents face a fine of up to 500 rubles. In case of repeated violations, the amount of the fine will increase, and then the family can be registered, RT reports.
In April, Russian kicksharing operators Whoosh and MTS Yuret stepped up the fight against the use of rental electric scooters by minors. Since May, companies have tripled the fines for their access to personal mobility equipment (SIM) — from 10 thousand to 30 thousand rubles. The purpose of the increased fine is to convey, first of all, to parents that children's scooter riding is strictly prohibited and should not be encouraged.
In March, the Cabinet approved a bill to almost double the fines for transporting children without car seats. Drivers who violate the rules for transporting children in cars will receive a fine of 5,000 rubles instead of 3,000 rubles. The fine for officials increased from 25 thousand to 50 thousand rubles, and for legal entities — from 100 thousand to 200 thousand rubles. 360.ru .
