Without Russia's economic sovereignty, no other country's sovereignty is possible. This was announced on May 26 by Russian Leader Vladimir Putin at a meeting with representatives of the Russian business community.

"Of course, I cannot fail to note the contribution that business, including the younger generation of entrepreneurs, has made to the development of the Russian economy already in the 21st century: the revival of agriculture, the construction complex, entire sectors of industry and modern services, and the strengthening of our sovereignty, including industrial, technological, and financial. And without this sovereignty, no other sovereignty is possible, because everything is based on it, it is the foundation," he said.

In addition, Putin said that over the past two years, in difficult conditions, the Russian economy has grown at a faster pace. According to him, the year before last the progress was 4.1%, and last year it was 4.3%.

The President stressed that this growth is not local and is not limited to individual industries. On the contrary, it covers a wide range of areas, including industry, agriculture, digital technologies and the service sector. The financial sector is also showing positive trends, which together creates the basis for further development of the country.

On May 13, Putin said that Russia's economic stability was largely made possible by the active support of the business community. According to him, despite all the difficulties and the so—called external pressure, the year before last the Russian Federation still managed to achieve significant growth, both for the country and for the global economy.
