- The court sentenced actor Andrei Khabarov to nine years in absentia for fakes about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation

The Khoroshevsky District Court of Moscow sentenced actor Andrei Khabarov in absentia to nine years in a penal colony in the case of spreading false information about the actions of the Russian Armed Forces. This was announced on May 26 by the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of the capital in its Telegram channel.
It is indicated that Khabarovsk was found guilty under Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public dissemination of false information about the use of armed forces"), as well as under part 2 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code ("Incitement of hatred or enmity").
It is specified that the term of serving the sentence will be counted from the moment of the actor's extradition to the territory of the Russian Federation or from the moment of his detention in Russia.
On April 30, the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia opened a criminal case against writer and publicist Dmitry Bykov (recognized in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent) on charges of publicly spreading false information about the use of the Russian Armed Forces, as well as evading the duties of a foreign agent. The issue of declaring Bykov wanted is being considered.
