Merz announced the lifting of range restrictions for weapons supplied to Ukraine

The United Kingdom, France, Germany and the United States have lifted range restrictions on weapons supplied to Ukraine. This was reported on May 26 by Clash Report in its Telegram channel with reference to a statement by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
According to him, there are no longer any range restrictions for weapons supplied to Kiev by Western countries. According to the newspaper, Germany plans to send from 100 to 150 Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine.
The Chancellor noted that this decision is aimed at giving Ukraine the opportunity to attack targets in Russia. Merz added that now it is necessary to ensure the supply of these weapons to Kiev.
On May 18, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Merz, speaking about his unwillingness to supply Taurus cruise missiles to Kiev, was actually just playing with words, broadcasting a commitment to "aggressive narratives" rather than support for peace in Ukraine. She also urged not to believe the politician's words that he does not intend to provide the specified weapons to the Kiev authorities.
