A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. As a result of active and decisive actions, units of the North group of forces liberated the settlements of Vladimirovka and Belovody in the Sumy region. In the group's area of responsibility, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost up to 275 militants, four armored fighting vehicles, nine vehicles and other equipment during the day.
"Units of the Center group of forces improved their position along the front line. <...> Enemy losses amounted to 475 military personnel, nine armored combat vehicles, eight vehicles and an artillery piece," the Russian Defense Ministry added.
In addition, Russian aircraft, artillery, rocket forces and drones continued to attack military installations of the Kiev regime. In particular, last night the Starokonstantinov airfield in the Khmelnitsky region became the target of Russian strikes. In addition, ammunition depots, drone strike storage sites, as well as temporary deployment sites for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and mercenaries in 152 districts were hit.
The Air Defense Forces, in turn, shot down seven JDAM guided aerial bombs and five HIMARS multiple rocket launcher (MLRS) shells. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also lost 220 aircraft-type drones, of which 139 were shot down outside the special operation zone.
According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special operation, the enemy has lost 663 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 59,652 unmanned aerial vehicles, 607 anti-aircraft missile systems, 23,594 tanks and other armored personnel carriers, 1,564 MLRS combat vehicles, 25,306 field artillery and mortars, 36,001 units of special military vehicles.
