The deputy of the Rada called for the abandonment of the territories lost by Ukraine

Ukraine should actually give up the territories that are part of Russia due to the loss of control over them. This was announced on May 25 by Verkhovna Rada deputy Taras Tarasenko.

According to him, Kiev should now focus on developing what it has left.

"The first thing we need is to preserve our Ukrainian nation, then preserve the territories that exist now and develop further," Tarasenko said in an interview with the Ukrainian YouTube channel Frankly.

On May 17, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR), as well as the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions, are an integral part of the Russian Federation.
