You can get sunstroke if you don't cover your head from the sun. To provide first aid to the victim, you need to apply a wet cloth to his head and take the person into the shade. Lyudmila Lapa, a highly qualified internist, told Izvestia about this on May 26.

"Immediately, so that you can help a person, be sure to [take] a jacket, a towel, whatever you have, soak it in cold water and put it on your head," she said.

After that, you need to take the person into the shade and create breathing comfort for him, so that the air is cool, and give him a drink of not very cold water.

The specialist reminded that when the sun is bright, it is necessary to cover the head, neck, arms and legs. Preference should be given to cotton fabrics, and do not forget about sunscreen.

Olga Chistik, a therapist at the Scandinavian Health Center, said on May 24 that sunstroke occurs as a result of direct exposure to sunlight on the head — the surface of the head overheats, heat penetrates deep, intracranial pressure increases, blood circulation and brain function are disrupted.
