From May 21 to May 23, 34 projects that reached the finals of the fifth season of the All-Russian sports Project Competition "You're in the Game" were defended. The finalists demonstrated to the experts and organizers the advantages and potential of their developments. According to the jury members, the defense turned out to be not only meaningful, but also emotional, reflecting the passion and dedication of the participants to their projects. The experts were unanimous in their opinion that the level of projects, and most importantly, the energy and concern of people promoting sports, inspire optimism and inspire further achievements.

"The practice of holding the competition for five years shows that the winning projects have some distinctive features. Firstly, they emotionally cling to the jury, these are human projects with the fate of their characters. Secondly, the winners may be breakthrough things that did not exist before, and they need to be developed. The most interesting thing is that we always have a lot of football and hockey projects, but they don't always win. Although they used to be among the winners, in recent seasons there has already been a trend towards a national, unique component," said Olympic champion in speed skating, TRP Ambassador Svetlana Zhurova, who has been evaluating the competition projects for the past five years.

According to Professor Andrey Selsky, director of the Center for Research on Advanced Competencies and Talent Development at the Higher School of Economics, who has also been evaluating projects for several years, as the competition "matures," some patterns become apparent that make it possible to win the Grand Prix. For example, the project's willingness to scale and focus on expanding its activities, social contribution, increased reach through new geographical regions, and the ability to influence changes in amateur sports.

"Every year there are a lot of projects that arouse interest and that you want to try yourself. I tried the sibike of the winner of the Grand Prix of the fourth season in the pool, and this year I am very attracted to the Chelyabinsk region — a couple of projects from there hooked me. These are the Chelyabinsk Marathon, a finalist in the Scale nomination, and the Paris Half Marathon, a finalist in the Sports Tourism nomination. The second mentioned project is being held in the beautiful village of Paris in the Chelyabinsk region, I listened and thought it was time to enroll there and run it, especially since the authors of the projects had a new proposal — the Paris – Berlin cycling race, because the village of Berlin also exists in the region. I think this is a very interesting story that I really want to try," said Andrei Selsky.

After each participant's presentation, the experts asked the author of the project questions, evaluating the presentation and the answers together. Following the results of the defenses, a vote was held in each of the nominations, which will determine the winners. The announcement of the winners of the fifth season of the "You're in the Game" contest will take place in June in Moscow.

"The projects that failed to reach the finals or win most likely lacked integrity and structure. Sometimes we see that the initiative is wonderful and has an important social component, but it is still too raw and not ready to scale. Scaling and the potential to grow and develop further are important components of winning. Sometimes a project doesn't go ahead because the author failed to present his initiative. It seems that the project is cool, but the author lacked the main points to prove its effectiveness to the experts. By the way, it's very good that in "You're in the game" there is both a correspondence and a full—time stage, when the authors can present the jury with a more complete picture, and we can already understand exactly which project is better," said the president of the Federation of Sports Jumping through an elastic band, the author of the project "The Best Physical Education lesson", the winner the third season of the contest "You're in the game" by Elena Vetrova.

The finalists for its part noted the involvement and genuine interest in the projects by the members of the expert Council, which included the Deputy Chairman of the government of the Kaliningrad region, the Minister of sport of the Kaliningrad region, a five-time Olympic champion in synchronized swimmer Natalia Ishchenko, Olympic champion in speed skating, the Ambassador TRP Svetlana Zhurova, founder of the Federation of adaptive hockey, the author of the project "Children's sledge hockey League", the winner of the first season of the contest "You're in" Anastasia Baradachev, General producer of "Tricolor Sports" Marina Bogomolov, Director of the Foundation "MATROSKA", the author of the project of the festival of children's domestic football "MATROSKA", the winner of the second season of the competition, "You're in the game" Dmitry Borshchiv, Russian master of sports in Alpine skiing, Vice-President of the Federation of racing drones of Russia and the President of the Association of corporate sports Andrey Brabec, President of the Federation of sports of jumping through the gum, the author of the project "the Best PE lesson", the winner of the third season of the competition, "You're in the game" Elena Vetrova, Director of development of social projects SK "Rosgosstrakh Life", a member of the Expert Council of the Russian Union of insurers in financial literacy Ellie Dolganova, head of children's social project "You're in the sport," the entrepreneur, a graduate business school "SKOLKOVO", the Ironman Sergey Peresunko, Director of the Center for research in emerging competencies and talent development, HSE, Professor Andrew Agriculture, the Creator of a charity Foundation for athletes "Extra time", the host of "Match TV" Olesya Seregina, founder and Chairman of the Association of student Torlopov, Chairman of the Board of the Student League sports tourism, member of the Presidium of the Federation of sports tourism of Russia Leonid Postovsky, General Director of group of companies "Mantera", business strategist Vadim Trukshin and others.
