Every tenth couple of newlyweds in the capital chooses unusual venues for the wedding ceremony. This was stated by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in his Telegram channel. The New Addresses of Happiness project, which offers non-standard locations for celebrations, is designed to help young people find the best place to marry.

"There are more than 30 places to choose from, from ancient mansions to skyscrapers. This year, three new venues were opened: in the estate of N.S. Tretyakov, the Moskino Film Park and the Yauza space. Among the unusual locations are the Sun of Moscow Ferris Wheel, Ostankino TV Tower, Mayakovskaya metro station and Severny Rechnoy Vokzal, where nightly wedding ceremonies take place," the mayor explained.

Over the six years of the New Addresses of Happiness project, more than 63,000 couples have married at non-standard venues, the mayor of the capital added. In addition, the metropolitan authorities take care of the traditional wedding venues. So, since the beginning of the year, the number of slots for recording weddings in Moscow palaces has increased by 20%. In June, the Tagansky Wedding Palace, one of the most popular in Moscow, is scheduled to open after renovation.
