Protesting farmers on tractors arrived at the National Assembly building in Paris

Farmers staged a demonstration on tractors outside the National Assembly (lower house of Parliament) in Paris. This was reported on May 26 by the BFM TV channel.
FNSEA (National Federation of Farmers' Trade Unions. — Ed.) and the Young Farmers organization called for a morning demonstration in front of the National Assembly building," the article says.
It is expected that from 150 to 200 tractors will be used in the French capital. It is specified that the reason for the protests is the law on "elimination of restrictions in agriculture."
On May 19, several columns of farmers on tractors blocked major highways in northern France. At that time, more than 130 tractors and over 170 demonstrators occupied the lanes of the highways. It was clarified that farmers had demanded that deputies not remove provisions important to industry workers from the draft law on "eliminating restrictions in agriculture."
