During the week of May 26, Muscovites expect hot weather with temperatures exceeding the climatic norm. Tatiana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist at the Meteonosti news agency, told Izvestia about this.

According to the expert, the first half of the week — up to and including Wednesday — the weather in the capital will be determined by the periphery of the anticyclone. Light clouds are expected at night, partly cloudy during the day, but no precipitation. Nighttime temperatures will delight Muscovites with almost July values: in the city, the thermometer will show +14... +16 degrees, in the region — +11 ...+17.

The daytime temperature will approach the 30-degree mark on Monday. On Tuesday and Wednesday, +27...+29 degrees are expected in Moscow and +26...+29 in the region.

"The wind will keep a southerly direction and will be quite dense, which will moderate the heat somewhat," the forecaster noted.

Starting Thursday, the weather conditions will begin to change. An area of low atmospheric pressure will come to the region. If the nights remain without precipitation, then convective clouds will begin to form during the day, which in some places will bring short-term rains. Nighttime temperatures will remain high at +17...+19 degrees, while daytime temperatures will decrease slightly due to increased clouds.

On the last day of May, the temperature will range from +24...+28 degrees. As Pozdnyakova noted, although the indicators will remain above the climatic norm, the excess will no longer be six degrees, as at the beginning of the week, but only 4-5.

On May 20, cardiologist Andrey Kondrakhin told Izvestia about ways to reduce the negative effects of abnormal heat on the body. To prevent overheating, the doctor recommends first of all to limit physical activity and avoid direct sunlight. Any movement in the heat leads to additional heat production by the muscles, which worsens the condition.
