Air defense systems destroyed 20 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over four Russian regions

The Air Defense Forces eliminated 20 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over four Russian regions. This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on May 26.

"<...> 20 Ukrainian aircraft—type unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed by air defense systems on duty," the Telegram channel says.

It is specified that the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were shot down between 08:30 and 11:00 Moscow time.

According to the agency, nine drones were eliminated over the Orel region, five drones were neutralized over the territory of the Kursk region, and three more UAVs were shot down in the skies over the Tula and Yaroslavl regions.

The new weapons are machine guns or submachine guns mounted on special turrets.

This morning, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that overnight the air defense forces eliminated 96 Ukrainian UAVs over 12 Russian regions. The largest number of drones were eliminated over the territory of the Bryansk region, air defense systems shot down 31 drones in the region.
