In Bratsk, six people were hospitalized with signs of food poisoning after visiting a "Shawarma on Coals" catering establishment. This was reported on May 26 in the press service of the Rosselkhoznadzor administration for the Irkutsk region and the Republic of Buryatia.
"In two days, about 10 people applied to medical institutions in Bratsk. Two adults and four minors were hospitalized with signs of food poisoning," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.
Upon the incident, a control and supervisory measure is being carried out against the owner of the institution, the Rosselkhoznadzor clarified.
"It is preliminarily stated that <...> some of the products were delivered to the kitchen without VSD (veterinary and accompanying documents. — Ed.), confirming the safety of the raw materials used in the preparation of dishes," the statement says.
Earlier that day, it became known that at least 10 people were poisoned at the Oliva cafe in Makhachkala. During an unscheduled inspection of the institution, Rospotrebnadzor officers revealed a number of gross violations of sanitary legislation.
