Air defense forces eliminated five Ukrainian drones over three regions of Russia

Air defense systems shot down five drones (UAVs) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the Kursk, Tula and Oryol regions. This was announced on May 26 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

"In the period from 7:50 to 8:30 Moscow time, five Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles of an airplane type were destroyed by air defense systems on duty," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

It is specified that three UAVs were shot down over the territory of the Kursk region and one drone each over the territories of the Tula and Orel regions.

The new weapons are machine guns or submachine guns mounted on special turrets.

This morning, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that overnight the air defense forces eliminated 96 Ukrainian UAVs over 12 Russian regions. The largest number of drones were eliminated over the territory of the Bryansk region, air defense systems shot down 31 drones in the region.
