The Slovenian President spoke about the EU's signals about the resumption of dialogue with the Russian Federation

Slovenian President Natasha Pirc-Musar announced signals from the European Union (EU) about the beginning of the association's work on resuming dialogue with Russia. This was reported by Politico on May 26.

"One of the mistakes of the European Union was that we stopped communicating with Russia," Pirts-Musar said.

In her opinion, the EU authorities should form a group of wise politicians to begin "quiet" diplomacy with Russia as a first step towards direct dialogue. According to the President of Slovenia, the head of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen has already informed her about the relevant plans of Brussels. Von del Leyen stressed that the association is already taking steps towards negotiations with the Russian authorities, pointing out "Газета.Ru ".

The approval of new restrictions is expected on May 20.
