The students called the Russian language the most difficult exam subject

Most of the students consider Russian to be the most difficult language in the curriculum of the basic and unified state exams (OGE, USE). This was confirmed on May 26 by the Umskul platform research data, which I reviewed."Газета.Ru ".

27% of ninth graders and one in five graduates named Russian as the most difficult exam. Mathematics (25% of ninth graders) and core mathematics (17% of 11th graders) came in second place.

Social studies took the third place in the ranking of the most difficult exams: 10% of ninth grade students and 15% of graduates named the subject as such. At the same time, this exam is one of the most popular by choice. Thus, 44% of respondents take the OGE in social studies this year, and 38% take the Unified State Exam.

The study also showed that 85% of respondents consider the result on the exam to be a consequence of the quality of training and the amount of knowledge. According to the survey, 38% of 11th graders devote 3-4 hours a day to preparation, while ninth graders, in turn, most often prepare for about 1-2 hours (45%).

The respondents also named luck (48%) and stress levels (43%) as important success factors. In addition, it is noted that students experience emotional discomfort during the preparation period: 38% of respondents experienced severe burnout, while 26% experienced mild burnout. 61% were helped to cope with stress by rest and sleep, 58% by music and podcasts, and 47% noted conversations with family and friends.

At the same time, the survey emphasized the importance of students receiving parental support. Thus, 41% of respondents discuss exam preparation with their family, while only 21% do not attach importance to parental support.

Clinical psychologist, neuropsychologist Daria Zhivina, in an interview with Izvestia on May 23, shared that during the exam period, the emotional state of the parent strongly affects children. According to her, adults should calmly and objectively take into account that the child will have to take the exam. The specialist recommended discussing with the student in advance, which is not a big deal if he does not have the most successful result or if he realizes that he is not coping with a certain task.
