During the night, the Air defense forces shot down 96 UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the regions of Russia

The Air Defense Forces shot down 96 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) last night. The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the territory of Russia. This was announced on May 26 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

According to the agency, 31 drones were shot down over Bryansk, 16 over Belgorod, 11 over Kursk, and nine over Tula regions. In addition, eight APU drones were shot down over the Orel region, six over Moscow, five over Kaluga, four over Ivanovo, two each over Ryazan and Vladimir regions, and one UAV each over Yaroslavl Region and the Republic of Tatarstan.

"In total, 148 Ukrainian aircraft—type UAVs were shot down over the Russian regions during the raid from 10:00 Moscow time on 25.05 to 8:00 Moscow time on 26.05," the Ministry of Defense said in a Telegram channel.

The new weapons are machine guns or submachine guns mounted on special turrets.

The day before, the Ministry of Defense reported that in seven hours, from 13:00 to 20:00 Moscow time, the air defense forces destroyed 51 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the regions of Russia. Among them, 23 drones were shot down over the Kursk region, the ministry said.
