Donald Trump Jr. may become one of seven possible candidates to succeed US President Donald Trump from the Republican Party in the 2028 elections. The corresponding list of candidates for the role of head of the White House was developed and published on May 25 by the American edition of The Hill.

"The eldest son of [Donald] Trump, speaking at the Qatar Economic Forum, provoked rumors that he might have presidential ambitions," the publication reported.

It is noted that this opinion was made after Trump Jr.'s response to a question about his possible participation in the 2028 election race. He said that maybe one day he will have a vocation for the presidency.

The list of potential candidates, according to The Hill, may also include US Vice President Jay Dee Vance, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristy Noem, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and the governors of Georgia (Brian Kemp), Florida (Ron DeSantis), and Virginia (Glenn Yangkin).

On April 3, Vance announced that he currently has no plans to participate in the 2028 elections. The US Vice president also noted that he is not fixated on politics, and he considers the restoration of the country's economy to be the main goal of his work.
